I've also been told I have little tact, so if this offends you simply ride on.

Franklin Graham: Charlatan

We'll have sunshine today... for at least a bit.  Depending upon which weather forecaster you're turning to for information, afternoon highs will either be in the high 60s (F) or low 70s (F).  Of course, rain will be moving into the picture.  Isaias, by then a tropical depression with wind gusts of 38 mph, is supposed to start raining on us a little afternoon, though those winds will be arriving a bit earlier.  Oh, and the rain is supposed to hang around for 3-4 days.  Now, isn't that ducky.

Howie's been pulling the stuffing from his pink pig.  He doesn't seem to understand that I got the squeaker out before he could get a hold of it.  There's something about dogs and squeakers in toys, they like to run around with them in their mouths.  Because they're plastic, it's not good to chew them up and swallow them, so I get them out before they become fodder for his intestinal system.

Things were done yesterday.  Laundry.  I made chicken stew for dinner.  Oh, and when slicing an onion I nicked the forefinger on my left hand... and, of course I was in the kitchen and my bandaids are upstairs... and Howie kept trying to lick it and make it better.  It was an "oh, shit!" moment that lasted about 2 minutes.

And with all the anger and outrage about the Orange Anus deciding we were going to have a public execution, I began wonder if Frankie Graham had made a comment.

For those who don't know, Frankie's dad Billy was an advisor to 13 presidents.  Frankie's not been so lucky.  I've talked before about how I feel this gives him Daddy issues.  In fact, the only president who has given Frankie the time of day has been the Orange Anus.  In return for that, Frankie has thrown his support behind Orangie.  With so many religious leaders, bishops, pastors, ministers, rabbis, expressing outrage of the "execution" announcement, I wondered where Frankie stood on the matter.  Well, Frankie has stayed silent, that means he has no problems with it.  Frankie has always been a failed Christian seeking prominence.  He wants to be the supreme leader of Evangelicalism.  However, Frankie is a charlatan.  I knew this in the early days of Covid.  Frankie used his group Samaritan's Purse to set up a hospital in Central Park to help nurse all of the sick and dying in New York City.  Then Frankie announced that if you were gay, or lesbian, or trans... you could not help, you could not nurse, you could not care for all of those people who were suffering.  He passed judgement.  It was like a punch in my gut when I saw that, and the first words that went through my head were, "Jesus weeps, but not for him."

Time

Well, here we are waking up on Saturday to cold temps, below 30 (F) is cold in my book, and the possibility of a mini snow and/or ice storm.  Mini because they're calling for less than half of an inch of either.  Tuesday we might get 2 inches of snow.  We have 41 days until spring, and I can say that even though we are over halfway through winter, I wish spring was much closer.

Yesterday was kind of meh, and kind of not.  Meh because my gravel syphon broke just as I was beginning to clean the big aquarium.  It's old, and things only last for so long, so it was probably its time, still, now I have to stop off at Petsmart and buy a replacement.

I also good a really decent leg workout in.  This means that my quads are sore, not sore to the touch, but sore when I go up and down the stairs.  I want to get an upper body workout in this morning before I go to work.

Dinner yesterday was scalloped potatoes.  I used bacon rather than butter.  It's tasty, but it does need that buttery taste.  Also, I was a little to light on the salt, but that's something that can be easily added.

And this evidently pissed of the Orange Anus.

How much did it piss him off?  Well, Orangie named an Evangelical huckster to the position as religious consultant (?) and was supposed to have a press conference to introducer her and prep the path for her Grift and the conference was cancelled.  Earlier in the day he was asked about the Time cover, and video of his face falling, his eyes staring downward, said it all.  Elonia is calling the shots and Orangie is little more than a puppet.  Ouchy, ouchy for Mr. Narcissistic Ego.

Isn't it amusing that Frankie Graham, Billy's black sheep son was asked to be religious consultant, or is it advisor, or or faux Christian puppet.  And Frankie got a double dose of slamming, neither of which, I suspect was on his Bingo card.  Not only did he not get a nice, cushy job advising Orangie, remember his dad was advisor to multiple presidents, Elonia shut down USAID.  Frankie's phony missionary group Samaritan's Purse got a lot of money from USAID.  For those who don't remember, Samaritan's Purse was the Christian group who refused to hire gay nurses during the pandemic.  So, this is probably part of Frankie's Karama, coming back to bite him in his phony religious ass.

Red Sky in Morning

We have a red, red sky this morning.  Supposedly there is light snow falling... there isn't, though forecasters are predicting some for later this afternoon, but only flurries.  The temps are predicted to pop above freezing tomorrow, but only briefly.  After that they will be dropping down for at least another week.

Yesterday was a pretty decent day as far as getting things done.  I made some beef jerky.  Some of it's okay, some is... well...  I wanted to try my hand at dehydrating beef but didn't want to spend an exorbitant amount at my neighborhood Giant supermarket, so I bought clearance beef.  These were good cuts for cheap.  A learning experience occurred.  You need to loose lean beef when making jerky.  All that tasty marbling which adds flavor to your steak, or pot roast?  That's fat and fat doesn't dehydrate.  Nope.  Fat melts.  So I have 2 bags of jerky.  One consisting of lean pieces, and one that got very dry, except for the fatty parts.  I used a garlicky marinade, so both types are quite delicious, it's just that one needs to stay refrigerated.  It will get eaten first.

I also got a decent leg workout in yesterday, you know?  The hated squats and lunges.

I also get to work today.  As I've said early, we're heading into inventory, so they may want me to do some physical labor.  We'll see how much I really do.

Here's a pic of the sunrise.

Yesterday Frankie Graham said the fires in Los Angeles are probably not God's Judgement on the state.  This surprised me.  Frankie's been an avid supporter of the Moral Degenerate soon to be in the White House.  He has asked people to pray for the Orange Anus.  Claiming that the fires probably were judgement would have helped Orangey with his divisive tactics, so I'm wondering if there might be some small, unspoken rift developing between Orangey and his Evangelical base.  He no longer needs their votes, and he's never once admitted to even believing in God.  Could it be that Frankie's realizing that Orangey has no intentions of making this a Christian country?  None of the wannabe Oligarchs has ever exhibited any true religious sentiment... well, Elonia seems to be favoring Aryanism and that has it's own god network.  One thing we all need to keep in mind is that Orangey will do anything to curry favor from those who are much richer than he is, and that's a bad thing.

Gertie

Well, the rain is gone, so are the winds, and yes, it did get windy.  Temps are beginning to drop, and we should soon be experiencing actual winter temps here in Central PA.  They're predicted to be a bit warmer than what would be considered normal, but they'll be cold.  Today is going to be blustery. There are snow flurries whirling around outside my window, not that they're going to amount to anything.

Yesterday, I did a little more than nothing, but it wasn't a day I would label productive.  Not once did I sit down at my writing desk, and there are things that need to be done.  I need to begin prep work on The Body on the Lawn, the first in the Eli and Max series.  Come March (?) it and the second book, The Body in the Tower will be turned into audio books.  One of the requirements for that transition is the removal of the song lyrics.  Having a narrator read them is considered a performance and that would mean royalty payments, and that can be pricy.  The Word editor does an excellent job at cleaning up things up, too.

Either today or tomorrow I'm going to be baking coconut macaroons, one of my favorite cookies, and they will be dipped in chocolate.  White chocolate.  I thought I'd change things up.

And in a few short days the sun will finally begin to set later in the afternoon.  I don't know about you, but dusk falling at 4:30 in the afternoon is not a good thing.  I like it when daylight last for more than 10 hours.

Boy, I'm so glad I wasn't planning on buying an Apple watch, and even gladder that I own a Garmin.  When I searched through my pics to see if there was one of my watch, this popped up.  It's very old.  This is Gertie, my first boxer, looking out the front door, about 11 years ago.  My, things have changed in the living room, haven't they?

And, as expected, Frankie Graham is pissing barbed wire over the Pope's little decision on the blessing of same sex couples.  Frankie needs to revisit Matthew 12, which says that God will forgive every sin, except for the sin of blasphemy.  Ouch.

There was an interesting article in the Post about Biden, and how he doesn't realize how old he looks.  For those who don't know, there are very few people who realize how old they look.  This is because in they're still in the their mid 30s, and when they look in the mirror they're seeing the same face they've looked at for... say... 81 years.  The human appearance changes slowly.  When you see a picture of yourself in your 20s, you're surprised at how young you look.  Most people will never comprehend how old others actually see them.

Relevance relies on Change

Temps are  beginning to rise again.  We'll hit the upper 60s (F) today, lower 70s (F) tomorrow, and by Friday we'll be toasting in the upper 80s (F).   Nice, eh?

They've been pulling down all of the window air conditioning units at work, prepping for the demand those warmer temps is going to bring.  April is still too soon to turn on the Central Air, so I'll be relying on the ceiling fan in the bedroom if it gets too warm.  This is also the time of the year that I take the woolie blankets from the bed, wash them, and pack them away until the fall.  I always look forward to this time of year!

Yesterday I spent the day in the paint department.  Time went fast.  I mixed paint and down-stocked product.  The last hour I spent back in the flooring department checking the numbers I should have checked yesterday morning.  I did the get a measure, which was nice.

For those interested, it's looking like I will begin the publishing process of The Body Under Ice next Thursday.  As such, I will begin to drop hints of the book cover.  What can I say but that I think it's one of the most striking covers so far, possibly almost visceral.  I like it.  Here's a backwards shot of it.  😎😎😎

And didn't it seem as though this past weekend was politically very quiet?  Perhaps because last week was filled with the Clarence Thomas bombs bursting in air all over the place, and the Tennessee Republicans kicking out 2 black Democrats, and the Trump judge in Texas trying to ban mifepristone.  Is it me, or does it seem that every time a Republican turns around he's getting smacked up the side of his head by a  2 X 4 of reality?  And the Cracker Jack Crazies are having the same problem.  Frankie Graham telling his base that he believes all buildings should be adorned with a Cross is... well, shall we say his comment smacks of religious authoritarianism.  He believes his beliefs are being attacked and that's simply wrong; their inability to evolve is simply making them less and less important to daily life.  Relevance relies on change, something he is incapable of doing.

The Historic Event

And it's Wednesday.  The forecast is sunny and warm here in Central PA.  That's fine with me.  Yesterday began cold, but by the afternoon the temps were in the low 60's.  Today will be warmer, and sunnier.  Tomorrow we're supposed to hit the high 70's, though storms will pass through and knock the temps back down.   I like spring.

Well, yesterday I hung the door between the bathroom and the new laundry room, all that's needed now is to put the casing up.  It was a bit of a challenge since the vinyl planking I put down on the floor reduced the height by 1/4 of an inch.  I did try to put an 80 inch door in a 79 3/4 inch opening, but it didn't work.  I ended up removing a small section of the planking.  Now the door is fine and only needs to be painted.

The Twitter world, as well as quite a number of other social media platforms is abuzz today because... well there's a good possibility something historic is going to happen today.  And there are so many leaks spreading inuendo about this event.  Just how is this event going to take place?  The details are foggy, but again, the leaks are implying there will probably be no perp walk today.  Evidently, according to the leaks, the Orange Anus is rather fixated on that.  While being paraded down a hallway with his handcuffed hands in front of him would make for a great martyr picture, his ego would have a terrible time accepting that humiliation.  Let's be honest here, the Orange Anus is anything but humble.

As for the GOP?  The impending indictment is taking a sledgehammer to the party.  This is what happens when you choose party over country.  Happily for us, more indictments will follow.  They know this.  They are about to ender Bedlam.

And the Cracker Jack Crazy Christians?  You know they're in trouble when Frankie Graham is asking them to pray to God to keep Trump from being indicted.  Can we talk about failure here?  Frankie has put all of his eggs in the wrong basket, perhaps because he wanted to be more powerful than his dad, or perhaps because he's just a dumbass.  Either way, God is not going to stop the indictments, which will prove that either God doesn't care, or Frankie's been talking to the wrong deity (I'm going for the latter).  This historic event is sending the Cracker Jackers into some serious disarray.

Ian

Well, if you're living in Florida, today is going to be Wet Wednesday.  Tomorrow, too.  Up here in Central Pa, this morning was the briskest so far.  A chilly 47 (F).  Our high today might reach 66 (F).  And, right now, the dogs are still sleeping.  Not me, of course.  I already have a load of laundry in the washer.

Later this morning, I have a dental appointment.  There was a time when I had my teeth cleaned professionally twice a year.  As I get older, that's dropped down to one single visit.  I have no problem with that.  My dentist will, as usual, talk to me about having two crowns and a bridge installed in my mouth.  At my age?  That ain't gonna happen.

And, even later this morning I will call and make an appointment for someone to put in a washer hook-up in what used to be a walk-in closet.  Not that it isn't going to be a walk-in anymore.  Things are just going to be re-arranged.

Yesterday, Ronnie DeSantis had an excuse of a presser to tell the world things were moving well ahead of Ian, making sure to emphasize that Biden hadn't talked to him.  At that time, Ian was expected to weaken.  That smarmy assed loser should have realized Ian had something else in mind.  Overnight Ian has strengthen to a very strong Category 4 (nearly a Category 5) hurricane.  The current forecast has him smashing into the state south of low lying Tampa and then slowly heading north through the center of the state.  Suddenly, this morning Ronnie had praise for the White House.  The fact that Ian might possibly tear Florida in half probably has a lot to do with his change of attitude.  Three hours ago, he had a sustained wind speed of 155 mph.  There go the mobile home parks.

For those who didn't catch it, Frankie Graham had a meltdown regarding one of his beloved anti-abortion protestors.  You see, this loser was arrested for breaking the law, and Frankie believes Christians are allowed to do that.  The Cracker Jack Crazies are blowing this way up and out of proportion because they believe they are special.  Can you even begin to imagine how frenzied they'll be in November if the Democrats win enough seats in the Senate to bypass the filibuster and pass a women's health care law?  Frankie's brain might just implode.

The Universe is no bigger than one square foot

The weekend has arrived.  For those who might be confused, I'm talking about the 2 days sandwiched by Friday and Sunday, not the singer who flipped out because he didn't get a Grammy nomination a few years back.

My left thumb's a bit sore.  I'm wondering if I'm spending too much time with Elden Ring.  For a change of pace, I could always play Fallout 4 on my PC.  Speaking of Fallout, filming has started for the post-apocalyptic thriller in New York.  Here's a pic of the Super Duper Mart, one of the locations in Fallout 3.

Temp wise here in Central PA, we're supposed to top our thermometers off at around 96 (F) today.  This is the hottest it's been so far this summer., of course, we still have approximately 2 months left in the season.

I saw where Justice Kagan basically said that the Court needs to keep their decisions more centrist to fit in with what a majority of Americans think and believe.  That was nice of her, of course the extremists on the court aren't even going to give her the respect of a nod.  They're too busy saying "shut up, we're in charge."

Both Tony Perkins, from the Hate Council, and Franky Graham proved the existence of brain hernias with their shrieking objection to the "Respect for Marriage Act."  While we heard a lot, sadly we didn't get a chance to see their gray matter oozing from their ears.  Be patient.  I wouldn't be surprised if we'll get to see that after the mid-terms.  You have to remember that these yokels believe God used the Electoral College to put Trump into the presidency.  I've tried pointing out that when you consider how large the universe is, and they do believe God created the universe, and the power needed for that creation vs the power needed for giving them a win through the Electoral College demonstrates a total lack of interest by God.  Of course, you have to remember that for these people, no matter how often they see pictures from the Webb telescope, their universe will never be any larger than their religion allows, which is approximately the one square foot of space their head occupies.

Finally, according to Newsweek, a conservative rag, seniors are running from Trump.  In fact, Republicans themselves are beginning to see him as a scourge.  33% now believe he is to blame for January 6, and 40% think it would be a bad thing for him to run.  While those numbers are improving, there is still a sizeable number of Republicans continue to worship his only bowel movement.

I got mine

Well, today's going to be a slow Sunday.  I work for almost 8 hours.  I get to work for another 7 hours tomorrow, and then I have off for my mid-week weekend.

Oh, and it's cold here in Central PA - 18 (F).  Winter is not over yet... though the temps will be in the low to mid 60's for the next 3 days.  That's right, on Tuesday and Wednesday the weather will have spring like temps, however there will be... rain.  The dogs mind the rain, I don't.  Hopefully it will just be showers.

My test kits were waiting for me in my mailbox when I got home last evening.  Unlike some who desperately worry that every sniffle is the onset of Covid and will use these tests at the drop of a hat, I'll wait until I run a steady fever... or find myself breathless.  For all I know, I've already had it and exhibited very minor symptoms, something I could very easily overlook.  I take my temp every day I work and it's always sitting at 97.6 (F), never higher, never lower.  So, they may end up sitting in a drawer until way past their expiration date, but at least I have them, which is a nice thing.

For those who missed it, Frankie Graham got dinged by Facebook last week by posting a lie about Hillary Clinton.  When a faux Christian of his stature stoops to dropping falsehoods, he must truly be desperate.  Anyway, that got me to thinking:  what other mistakes has Frankie purposely made.  Lo, and behold, according to the Baptist News Franklin Graham not only dropped a whopper, he was downright blasphemous.  You see, Frankie compared those ten Republicans who voted to impeach Donald Trump to Judas Iscariot, implying something akin to 30 pieces of silver passed hands.  One suspects that Frankie, like the Orange Anus, is clinging to the power he so desperately feels he deserves, and as such is just as big a loser.

In a Stew

Well, it looks as though we have another drizzly wizzly day outside.  Yesterday the sun was nice enough to shine down in the afternoon, but only for a few hours before the clouds began rolling in.  Tonight, temps are supposed to drop below freezing.  This is how autumn happens.  What winter will be like is anybody's guess.

Yesterday was rather uneventful.  Chore that had been planned were accomplished.  I wrote.  I played a video game.  Right now I'm playing through the Mass Effect trilogy.  The first time I played through it I thought it was great.  Now, well, I see problems.  Bioware, attempting to go bigger and better, kills off the main character in the beginning and then has him resurrected through science.  You get new companions and new game mechanics.  Meh.

I cooked the smoky leek and lentil stew yesterday.  The recipe ends up with much more than I was expecting, so I'll be having stew today.  I'm going to add a garnish of shredded swiss cheese for the warm-up since I'm not really wild about parsley.  Here's what mine looked liked.

Okay, so yesterday I saw in JMG that Frankie Graham posted more of his nonsense on his Facebook page (no link) on how Climate Change is pretty much the wrath of God killing people who reject his (notice the lower case) religion.  Evidently the fact that a number of these people who have already died by fire, and flood, and heat, and cold, and have been Christians is something Frankie has chosen to overlook.  Truthfully speaking, there's a lot of horseshit in Frankie's barn that he needs to clean it out.  That'll never happen since he's more interested in trying to prove he's a Cracker Jack prophet... something he will never, ever be.  This man knows the corrupting taste of power, and likes it.

Frankie the Chameleon

I slept really well last night, making up for the night before.  According to my watch, I got almost 7 hours of sleep.

My new plants for the tank arrived yesterday.  One of the Baby's Breath plants got tossed.  Before dumping it in the compost bin, I weighed it.  Over 12 ounces.  That sucker was big.  That one plant grew to be bigger then a basketball.  Amazon Swords now replace it, and the fish have more room to swim, and I clean the algae on the tank wall it was hiding.  The other Baby's Breath plant is going to go to.  What they do better then anything else is trap lots of uneaten food.

Those angel fish were the size of a quarter when I bought them a year ago

We're supposed to have snow flurries in a few minutes.  As a reminder to those who don't know, we have had some serious snow falls in Central PA during the month of April.  The one good thing about those is that they melt away very, very fast.  Today, we're not even going to have a dusting.

Scanning through the headlines this morning, I see Republican desperation growing.  That makes me smile.  Some of things that are popping out of their mouths can only make you question their sanity, especially when compared to their previous comments.  That stale, aging cracker Frankie Graham said, after the Chauvin verdict, "justice has been served."  I must say Frankie has really flip-flopped from what he was saying at the time of the protests.  Back then, however, he was a loyal ass-kisser of Loser #45.  Maybe we should call him Chameleon Frankie, since he finds it so easy to change the color of his comments.  Don't forget, underneath his 'justice' comments he's still a White Evangelical.

Starting Here

I am pleased to announce that at 3:47 PM yesterday I received notice that the credit for the printer I returned had been processed.  Now, ain't that nice?  Now some might think the first thing I did upon getting home from work was to order another printer... well, I didn't.  I don't have that sense of urgency in regard to purchasing one.  All of those color images I want to print off are not going to suddenly disappear.  I have no desperate little demand inside which needs to be satisfied, unlike so many others who fail the test of patience.

I saw on one of the news feeds I check daily that Jade... something or other (one of Lori Loughlin's spawn) has uploaded a video to YouTube.  I cannot imagine anyone actually choosing to be an 'influencer' as their vocation in life.  Doesn't this say more about her growing ego then anything else?

Oh, and if you want to sign a petition to get Frankie Graham fired click here.  There is a growing movement to terminate him from his job because he's still a pusher of lies.  I have no problem with this petition, in fact, I encourage people to sign.  Never forget that when Covid was doing it's worst in New York City, he set up a hospital and then forced nurses and aid workers to sign a Cracker Jack Crazy agreement of hate.  This fool may be a believer, but he is no Christian.

The last of my necessary tax documents was dropped into my mailbox yesterday.  Yippee.  I have off tomorrow, so guess what I'm gong to be doing?  That's right, filing my taxes.  Except for one year, I have always gotten refunds.  I will also admit, I have never had a problem paying taxes, but then I'm not some cheap ass Republican pissing and moaning about where every little penny of my tax dollars gets spent.

And speaking of Republicans, or maybe I should say Conservatives, or perhaps Cheap Ass Bigots, I understand there are a number of them complaining about Garth Brooks' performance at the Inauguration.  Isn't this always the case?  I remember Obama holding out an Olive Branch and they all summarily said "screw you."  This is why we need to vote them all into the party of obsolescence.  They will always refuse to compromise.  The only way to shut them up is to put them down.  So, let's start here... and now.

Cracker Jack Conservatives

Can you believe today's Wednesday?  It is Wednesday, isn't it?  Seems like yesterday was only Tuesday... or was it Monday?  Wait, let me look at my calendar. Yep, it's Wednesday!  This used to be Hump Day for a lot of people.  I suppose if you're working from home it is... kind of... in a really odd sort of way.  If you're under a Stay at Home order and you're unemployed the day doesn't really matter, does it?
So, last evening I'm formatting the manuscript for publication and after I get the margins set I see The Body in the Well is 497 pages long.  Wrong.  And then I realized I had forgotten to change the line spacing.  The original manuscript is double spaced between lines so I have room to pen in notes and do corrections on the hard copy.   A quick fix knocked that page count down quite a bit.  The last thing I want to do is overwhelm people with size.
I saw that Frankie Graham is annoyed because people are questioning his radicalized values.  That little hospital his Christian group set up in Central Park is drawing fire.  In order to work there you need to sign some Cracker Jack document denouncing same sex marriage.  He doesn't understand why people object to him passing judgement on human beings.
And then there's Trey Hollingsworth, a Republican from Indiana who says "it's time to put on our big boy and big girl pants" and accept the fact that opening the economy is more important than saving lives.  Spoken like a true Republican, you know?  He's one of the nuts in the box of Cracker Jacks.  It seems quite a number of the Idiot Jerk's base are thinking along the same lines.  That's what makes them Cracker Jack Christians and, I'm sure, being members of that cult, few of them have any problem with dying early.
The Idiot Jerk is also desperately trying to blame WHO and China for his shitty job.  Unfortunately for him, his history of job performance is not good.  There are a slew of products and services which have borne his name that have failed, from Ties, to Steaks, to a scamfest University.  There are evidently a whole boatload of lawsuits waiting for him the moment he's voted out of office.  I suspect his attorneys have been keeping this from him.  They know this man is far more stupid than he looks.
Finally, I took another pic of my bulbs yesterday.  They're going to be really nice when fully bloomed.  Since it's not supposed to be breezy today, I want to give all of my roses their first dose of spray to keep away the black spot.

Will the Real Ivanka Raise Her Hand?

Well, it's Friday and it one of my 'on again days.'  Yepper, I get to go be a Flooring Specialist for 8 hours.
Evidently one of my measures 'blew up' yesterday while I was off.  A customer had called a week ago... a woman, and requested info our having commercial carpet installed.  She didn't like the fact that we charged for our measure services (fee is deducted once you purchase) and hung up.  She called up on Sunday and set up the measure, didn't have the name of the carpet with her, so I keyed in a generic.  I told her to tell the measure services she was dealing with the store.  She didn't.  She got an expensive quote emailed to her which included all the measurements.  Her boss called and started shrieking at one of the Assistant Managers about 'price matching' and how they got less expensive quote from other installers.  In the end, someone decided to refund her (him) the measure fee.  That's right, this person wanted a free measure and got a free measure.  I was not there.  It was my day off.  I would have said "no."
More cases of Covid-19 have sprung up across the US.  Four more states have tested positive.  And the Idiot Jerk, at a town hall in PA, evidently admitted it might slow down the economy.  He also said something to the effect of "Americans are traveling so much, they're staying home and spending their money here."  So, his focus is on people spending money, not on people getting sick and possibly dying.  That's so... Republican.
One thing that is going to be hurt terribly by the virus is Mega-Churches.  Oh... dear.  You know, like evil Joel Osteen's church.  That's going to hurt his pocket book.  Poor Joel, what's he gonna do when the money stops rolling in?
And Joel's not the only one.  There  are a lot of them out there using their Rock / Broadway show appeal to sell phoniness, their main goal being the collection plate.  I can't see Joel visiting hospitals to comfort the sick, or visiting their house to give them moral support. Or Frankie Graham, for that matter.  For the life of me, I cannot even begin to imagine Frankie saying "Hey, I'm going to stop at hospital today and visit a bunch of Coronavirus patients."  Maybe Melanoma should go visit a hospital... or Ivanka Danka.  There was a time when politicians and their wives did that sort of thing, to help calm American's fears and worries.  Wouldn't that be a hoot, seeing either of them gussied up in their protective gear?

Can you spot her?  She's the fourth one from the left.

Frankie's Failure

Sunday, and winter is now half over.  That sounds like I don't like the season, the cold and the snow.  I do, the only problem is this year, here in Central PA, winter's been rather lackluster.  No decent snow falls.  We'll have a day when the temps drop, but the next day their back up in the mid 40's (F).  The long range forecast is predicting we're going to have pretty much the same weather until we hit spring, at that point winter will probably kick in.
I saw where Frankie Graham was shrieking his gay hate because of Pete Buttegieg.  This is to be expected since Frankie is an extremist.  That's right, he's a religious fanatic, slovenly drunk on his own religious interpretation of Christianity.  We all know what fanatical extremists do with their hatred, they fly planes into skyscrapers.  You may not believe me, but it's true.  Frankie doesn't deal with rejection well.  He got hit with a whole bunch of rejection a week or so back when Evangelicals in the UK called him out for being what he is... a fanatical extremist.  What really happened is that Frankie was given a Sign.  He was warned.  That pissed him off.  How dare people tell him he is crazy?  And nothing fires up his hate more than gay people, though I suspect brown, immigrant Catholics are probably not too far behind.  Frankie needs to be taken off his soapbox.  This is beginning to happen.  That rejection from the UK is a good start.
On the lighter side of things, my Christmas Cactus is still blooming.

I thought this was like a season thing.  Evidently it's not.  Does anybody know how long it will continue to bloom?  I mean, it started before Christmas.

Full Speed Ahead!

For some it's the weekend, for me it's Thursday.  Aren't you glad you don't have to live with my calendar?
If the weather forecasters are right, today's high of 41 (F) is going to be a cold snap.  This is so much different than last year.  Remember, we were getting those arctic creeper things?  Temps in the single digits?  All the MAGA heads were running around squealing "where's the climate change?"  Now I hear them at work saying "aren't these temperatures wonderful?  such a nice, mild winter we're having."  I saw this pic from, of all places, Antarctica:

They're having a heatwave in Antarctica.  Yepper, the temps down there hit 64.9 (F).  Instead of understanding the reality of this situation, the greedy of the world will say..."hey, when can we start drilling for oil?"
Oh, my, and I had a Text from Bernie, or one of his supporters yesterday.  I get them regularly from the DNC, so that might be where they got my number.  He asked if Bernie could count on me.  My response:  "No, Independent voters will never vote for a Socialist."  He asked if I'd want to tell him who I was planning on voting for and I responded "I won't know until Primary time rolls around.  I do know Independent voters are the key to beating (the Idiot Jerk in the White House).  Of course, I got no response.  Bernie supporters are, in a way, a lot like MAGA heads.  They want you to jump on the crazy Far Left train without understanding that up ahead the bridge is out.

And just one more bit of fun news.  Evidently Far Right Crazy Christian Franklin Graham has had his Hate Tour of the UK cancelled.  What makes this interesting is that those complaining are British Evangelicals.  What Frankie doesn't understand is that he has just been given a Sign.  Frankie will ignore this because he, too, has jumped aboard his only special Crazy Train.  He believes his interpretation of Divine Scripture is far superior to that of anyone else.  Frankie's bridge is out, too, of course that isn't going to stop him from tipping his little, red hat and shrieking "Full Speed Ahead!"
