At the 2 Paths in the Yellow Wood

Our 3 day heat wave starts today.  Daily highs are predicted to breach the 100 (F) degree mark.  That's toasty.  For those living in the scorch zone, make sure you stay hydrated.  This is not the day to start digging that swimming pool in your backyard.  This means you should limit what you do outside, no matter what your age.  Dehydration can be  a killer.

Yesterday was definitely the meh day of the week.  I could have done much more but I went to my local Giant supermarket in the morning.  One of the unnecessities that I purchased was a frozen Tombstone pizza (supreme) which Howie and I shared.  It was all downhill from then on.  Unfortunately, Howie is always up for a quick snoozer.  All you have to do is say the word nap.  So, that's what I did yesterday.  Ten minutes here.  Ten minutes there.  One would have thought that all of that napping might have ruined getting a good night's sleep, but no.  I got a full 7+ hours of deep sleep with plenty of REM, at least according to my Garmin watch.  Mostly, I'm blaming the chaotic times we're living in.  We are constantly being bombarded that fritters away at our brains, ruining our normal sleep habits until there's nothing left for us to do but nap away the day and sleep away the night.

As I'd said earlier, I've been playing around making little videos to announce The Body in 4/4 Time.  I'm somewhat pleased with this one.  Those who know their Robert Frost will find this familiar.  It's a very good way to talk about a broken heart.

Of course, our failing Supreme Court released the rest of their decisions for this year.  They saved birthright citizenship,   With his 91 paged dissent, Clarence Thomas, black man, proved he has the heart and soul of Ku Klux Klansman.  No matter how much he hates minorities, he, himself, will never be white.  He is a traitor to the constitution.  So is Sammy Alito, a man who is himself a birthright citizen.  The attempt to destroy the 14th amendment is based purely on racism.  Social Media was filled with vile Republicans denouncing this decision, some calling for the sterilization of immigrants.  One said women should not be allowed in this country because they might have a brown baby.  One woman shrieked about Haitians giving birth to over 60,000 babies.  And these people call themselves Christians.  They are a scourge upon this country.

Simple Genetics

Oh, my, a late morning post courtesy of a dental appointment.  

Right now we  have 70 (F) outside and we have drizzles on and off since I rolled out of be this morning.  Temps are supposed to climb into the low 80s (F).  If the forecast for tomorrow is correct, we will be having rain on and off for most the the day.

Yesterday turned out to be sort of meh day.  I postponed my workout until Saturday because I just didn't feel like doing it.  What truly made it a meh day was my going in to work and discovering that I wasn't scheduled.  Even though I'm part-time, my schedule is fixed... until it isn't.  Because my work days never change, I never look at my schedule.  This week I should have looked at it.  In fact, my next 3 Thursdays are off.  I was told I could stay if I wanted.  🤣😂🤣 So I came home and started working on the next book.

And the dental visit this morning?  What was intended to be a routine cleaning has turned into a fiasco for the dentist.  As I sat down in the dental chair, the assistant told me that my cleaning was scheduled to broken up into 2 visits because it was a "deep scaling," and that we were going to do the right side today.  After cleaning the right my teeth on the right side, the assistant checked to see when I'd be coming in to get the left side cleaned and discovered I was only scheduled for one appointment.  Can you see where this is heading?  Of course, the receptionist affirmed that my dentist had wanted both sides of my mouth cleaned at the same time.  What makes this fiasco even worse is that they cannot schedule me in to clean the left side until November 13.  That's almost 5 months away.  The receptionist is going to talk to the dentist on Monday.  Here's what my teeth looked like before the cleaning.

Of course, yesterday the white conservatives on the Supreme Court once again highlighted their racism.  They really do hate Haitians and Syrians.  Actually, the truth is that they hate everyone who isn't white.  White conservatives have this delusion that they're special.  The white Christian Nationalists believe they are the chosen race.  They totally ignore the fact that white people are a serious minority in the world.  I find it fascinating that these people, who are supposedly Christian, and who believe that God created man, don't understand that if their beliefs are true then God made brown skin the dominant skin color.  I'm not talking heavy duty genetics.  In fact, it is all rather simple.  If a white person and a brown or black person have a baby together, that baby's going to be either brown or black.  White Christians have always had a problem with science in that it gives them answers they don't know how to deal with.

Pillion

Our afternoon high might hit 70 (F).  That would be nice.  There is some yardwork that needs to be done.  By next week, we're going to be steamy, at least for a few days.  I'm wondering if I should put the window A/C unit in the workout room, for those days when I'm sweating my but off.

And the lack of listing updates for blogs is... weird.  According to Blogger's stats, I've had over 75,000 hits during the past 7 days, so someone, somewhere, is reading what I write.

I watched Pillion last evening.  It's been called a Rom/Com but even though there were moments of romance and definitely moments of good comedy, I think it was more of a character study of 2 individuals looking for love.  One breaks down the barriers standing in the way, the other either cannot or will not.  The key and the ring hanging around Alexander Skarsgard's neck are important.  The key may be to his motorcycle, or it may be the key to his heart, something he needs to keep safely locked up.  I liked the movie, though probably not for the reasons so many other people did.  By the way, for those who don't know, a pillion is the back passenger seat on a motorcycle.

Oh, and I worked yesterday.  I had a vinyl plank flooring sale, not an install, just a sale to a rather interesting couple.  They were older and whiter.  He asked about getting his military discount and I told him not to worry.  I asked what branch of service, he said Air Force, and went on to tell me that he'd been in Vietnam for only 21 days.  The only 21 days was important to him.  I told them I'd been in the Navy and had spent two cruises in the Western Pacific, most of that time being spent in Vietnam.  One cruise was 8 months long, the other 9 months long.  That impressed them.  She leaned forward and asked what I thought of our current president and the war in Iran.  I told her I thought he was doing a very bad job.  She was surprised.  She said, "don't you know?  He's keeping back the Muslim hoards."  I stayed silent.  Nothing was going to change their minds.  They have no idea how many Muslims work in my store, or how many Hindis.  This couple represents the ignorance of Orangie's base.  They honestly have no idea how the world works.

The Voting Rights Act

Here in Central Pa we had overcast skies yesterday and the occasional drizzle until around 4 PM, and then it started to rain, a soaker, as they like to call steady rain.  Today, forecasters are calling for on and off sunshine with our temps topping off in the the low 60s (F).  This means everything is going to grow.  That means I'm going to have to mow the lawn, probably tomorrow morning. Yeah!

And yesterday was productive!  All my veggies have been planted and fertilized.  Laundry was done.  Cleaning was done.  It was a good day.

Yesterday was also a good workout day.  While there's an exercised called a dumbbell thruster, there were no squats.  I'm going to go easy on the squats for a while.  My left knee is still a bit wonky and I don't want to do anything that might actually damage it.  

My aunt Lois died yesterday.  She was 91.  She was a very nice lady.  When I was born back in 1952, my dad's parents drove down to Florida because I was the first male grandson to be born.  Lois, who was 18, was with them.  What an adventure that must have been for her!  In today's America a lot of people will fly their families down to Disneyworld.  It's so commonplace, no one thinks about it.  But 73 years ago Florida would have been like traveling to a totally different country.

I snapped a picture of Howie on the the futon yesterday.  I've gotten a lot of comments about how big he's gotten.  Believe me when I tell you, I don't think of him as being big, he's just my little booby boy.

Of course, yesterday the Supreme Court smashed apart the Voting Rights Act because a majority of the judges, all white, believe that minority groups no longer need to have a unified voice.  The racist Sammy Alito wrote the majority opinion.  Sammy wants a white, Republican, authoritarian government running America.  Future generations are not going to see Sammy as a decent human being.  Quite the contrary.  They will look at his racist opinions and define him as what he truly is, a bigoted, phony Catholic.

And gas prices increased again yesterday.  Since I didn't go anywhere, I don't know how high they went locally, but from what I'm seeing online, 40 cents seems to be the standard increase.  This is how you lose elections, no matter how much you gerrymander, or how often Sammy Alito stomps his tiny racist feet.  Hint, hint, gas prices are not going to go down soon, not that Sammy has to worry about the price per gallon.  

Finally, Elonia Musk was in court yesterday.  He and Sam Altman are going head to head, legally, about Chat GP, I think, and Elonia's verbosity and bullshit got to be too much for the judge.  Yepper, the judge told him to basically shut up.  Elonia found that rather... disparaging.  Now, how nice is that?

Trump and Racism

Today's high is not going to make it out of the teens.  16 (F) is the predicted high.  And we have blustery winds, too.  After that, things will begin to slowly warm up.  Honestly, I'm looking forward to warmer days.  For those counting, Spring is 40 days away.  Mark March 20 on your calendars.  

I'd say yesterday was pretty much a meh day, but that isn't true.  I finished the first draft of The Body in 4:4 Time.  This morning I will print a copy off and begin reading through the manuscript.  I suspect this will be the longest book I've ever written.  That's because there are two stories being told, one in the early 1980s and the second in the present.  Things will happen in the past that will effect things that are happening in the murder investigation, things that only the reader will know.  

Otherwise, most of yesterday was spent on rather mundane stuff.  I'm changing out the caulking around the shower, so I worked on the for a bit.  I made some chicken and potato stew, that will serve as lunch tomorrow when I work a full day.  Today I will finish of the rest of the moussaka.  

And yes, I do work today.  Joy of... well, let's just say I'll be sitting at the flooring desk for 6 hours this afternoon.  Today, being the first Saturday of the month means our lumber department will be taken over by around 300 kids; today is Kids Workshop.  Though with the brutal cold, there might only be 200.  You see kids get a small apron and a little project for kids to build and there are those parents who will take their 4 and 5 year-olds out in any weather if they know they're going to get something free.

And so much was happening on the political stage yesterday.  The Winter Olympics began.  If you watched the ceremonies live, you got to see the American team getting cheered, however, JD Vance was jeered from an International crowd of spectators.  

Orangie was hit hard by the critics for posting a racist video of the Obamas as monkeys.  Rasmussen College and it's conservative polling group, put out a daily poll.  Being conservative, they have always given Orangie higher ratings than other polls.  According to yesterday's poll, which was taken prior to the release of the video, on 27% of the country strongly approved of Orangie's job performance.  That number represents the hardcore Republican haters.  That number includes the White Supremacists, and the Christian Nationalists, and every other racist hater who wants to bow down and kiss Orangie's ass.  Like Orangie, these people are weak.  They will TACO every time he does.  They will sit in the shadows and brood about things like pronouns, and skin color, and the shrinking white American population.  They have always been in existence.  Orangie's hatred allows them to wear their prejudice as if it were a badge.  They do not understand they represent a weakness that can easily be dispatched.

Bad Bunny Rocks

Tuesday has arrived.  The weather outside is a bit Fallish.  For some reason I slept late, until close to 0700, and that is unusual.  Normally I rise and shine around 0600.  This is what happens when you don't use an alarm clock.  And outside our temps are cool, sitting in the low 60s (F).  Forecasters are predicting a high in the low 80s (F).  I don't think that will be happening.  Tomorrow's high is only supposed to be in the low is only supposed to be in the low 70s (F), so I'm wagering that those cooler temps will be arriving sooner rather than later.

I always start doing the weeks laundry on Tuesday, and I'm proud to say that my first load is finishing up the wash cycle and ready to head into the spin cycle.  Because there is zero chance of precipitation, I'll be using my drying rack outside for several of today's loads of wash.  I'm going to take advantage of the fair weather for as long as it lasts.

And I did work yesterday.  A large sale went through in lumbar, probably a vast amount of plywood, somewhere around $38,000 worth, so the store had no problem making plan.  That's good news, though that type of sale is a rarity.  Also you need to keep in mind that one single day's sales do not make the week, and that sluggish sales over the next 6 days will still keep you from making your plan.

During yesterday's workout, I did squats, by far my least favorite exercise.  Having your quads scream in pain when you go up and down the stairs is by far the worst part of leg work.  However, I have to admit that so far today the discomfort is minimal, so something must be going right.

And as expected, white conservatives are losing their proverbial shit over Bad Bunny doing the Super Bowl's Half Time show.  Can you hear me laughing?

Now, I will readily admit to never having listened to his music.  This is because I listen to mostly alternative rock and roll, and we do tend to stick with our genres.  However, I did have to laugh at all of the white conservatives with so many of them shrieking he wasn't American.  How can they define their ignorance in such a blatant way?  Puerto Rico is an American Territory, so Puerto Ricans are born American Citizens.  I suspect that a large part of their problem is that he's outspoken about his dislike for the Orange Anus, and has called Orangie worse things than Anus.  Mostly his songs are in Spanish, though he does include English in some of them.  That's a big part of their problem.  I work with people whose own grasp of the English language is questionable at best, still that does not stop them from fuming angrily at others who have an accent.  The truth is that there are some white people who look for a reason to judge someone else as inferior, and skin color and language are two of their top reasons.

And is the government going to shut down?  Let's hope the Democrats have enough of a spine to force Orangie to crap in his diaper.  Republicans don't understand that with Orangie's approval rating already so low, this will end up being a losing ticket for them.  This, while being a bad thing, is a good thing.

Eat Mor Peepol

Well, it's Saturday.  The weather's nice, not too humid and not too hot. Over night the temps drop down into the mid 60s (F) and there's nothing wrong with that, it's good sleeping weather.  My central air only runs occasionally during the day.  That's fine with me, it helps keep my electric bill low since this is the time of year when it usually skyrockets.  

I got some treadmill time in yesterday, as well as the dumbbell routine for my arms.  The only issue I had was the old Samsung TV which I use for the treadmill has begun to have issues.  The HDMI ports don't seem to be working anymore, so I needed to run a line from the TV to my modem to connect to YouTube.  As I said, it is old, at least 15 years old, meaning time is slowly breaking it down.

I saw an interesting tidbit about relationships between children and their parents.  Apparently about 25% of all children are estranged from at least one of their parents.  This doesn't surprise me.  I don't think it's as much as not respecting your parents, as it is parents are not all perfect.  They get divorced and when that happens their children usually pick sides.  The world is changing and change requires new rules.  Some have a very difficult time understanding this.  Their viewpoint is unsustainable.  Change is inevitable.

This is obviously true among white people in the red conservative states, like Alabama where the Supreme Court told them they needed to fix their gerrymandered map and give black voters 2 congressional districts, and the white Republicans refused, drawing up on one district.  Their white Republican governor, Kay Ivey signed off on this.  Giving black voters 2 districts would give them more power, and those white crackers down in Alabama simply refuse to do that.  They don't understand that minorities, not just black people, but all people of color are making more babies than then white people.  It is only a matter of time until that boot is going to be on the other foot, and that boot is going to stomp, at which point that sign will read Eat Mor White Peepol.  

Me, Again

 Another slow Sunday has rolled around.  As usual, I'm working.  Sundays aren't bad.  I spend a lot of time walking around the store or sitting at my desk.  Customers wander by occasionally and I'll talk to them.  So far this week, my sales are great, I'll probably end with around $12,000, which isn't bad for a part-time associate.

I did have to deal with a white racist yesterday.  After putting some returns away, I found a large, very white woman standing by the flooring desk waiting for my associate to finish up with the customer he was working with, so I asked if she needed assistance.  She'd been in the day before to purchase flooring only there had been a problem with her credit card.  Yesterday, she was going to pay by check.  She claimed the other associate had made mistakes on her bill: he hadn't included the delivery charge, so the total was wrong.  Actually, her bill was correct.  There was nothing wrong.  When my fellow associate finished with his customer, he asked if there was a problem.  She looked at him and rudely said, "I'm dealing with this gentleman, now."  He said, "okay," and walked away.  As I was printing off her bill, she leaned forward and said, "I'm so glad I got to deal with you today."  Instead of pointing out her racism, I sent her to the Service Desk to pay for her flooring.  The associated she didn't want to deal with is a Pakistani.  When I told him what she'd said, he replied, "it's the skin."  Of course, I knew that.

Here's a bit of humorous, speculative political news.  Trump has left Florida for New Jersey.  Florida gets stinky, winky hot in the summer and who knows what that humidity would to do his fake tan.  I also find it interesting that a number of polls have come out recently noting that DeSantis is... well, to put it bluntly, more popular with a growing number of ex-MAGA cult members.  There are whispers Republicans lean towards Ronnie because he doesn't have the boorishness and buffoonery that comes with Trump.  That must really burn Trumps ass.  That, coupled with several articles about his announcing his candidacy for 2024 leads one to wonder if he's trying to get a jump on Ronnie.  Let's face it, the candidates Trump has been endorsing are not hitting homeruns in this primary season.  While there are still Republicans in line to kiss his ass, that line appears to be growing shorter by the day.

Tasty

I get to go back to work today.  I'm going to have to talk to someone about my schedules.  I'm in the system for consecutive days off and I'm not getting them... for the next 3 weeks.  In fact, 2 weeks from now she has me working every other day... that's right, work a day, off a day, work a day, off a day... for the entire week.  As someone who has done scheduling for over 4 years, I can say this woman has no clue as to what she's doing.
Anyway, I was riding around in Amsterdam yesterday.  It was a very easy ride.  The only hills are bridges going over canals.  There are lots of cobblestones.  Holy Hannah!  The Tacx software I have creates the feel of riding over them.  They create a real challenge in real life.  Oh, and I got to see my first windmill.  It was a spiffy moment.

And, of course, I did bake myself a pear torte.  Delicious.

I saw where the racist Idiot Jerk in the White House spewed some hatred about the Best Picture of the Year.  His white, racist fan base loved it.  Any day now his camp should start selling his MAWA hats:  Make America White Again.

Evidently he also flew into a bit of a rage when the House received a confidential briefing on Russian interference in the upcoming election.  The Russkies want to sow discord.  The Idiot Jerk needs Russkie help.  He wants them to have his back.  Believe me, the Republican party will stoop as low as humanly possible to retain power.  They don't really care what a majority of Americans say.  For them it's not about Democracy, it's about the power to dictate and control.

Meh

Today is actually my Friday, I'm off tomorrow, of course I'm back to work on Sunday... but just for one day.  Then I'm going to have five days off in a row.  Now... just what will I do?  Maybe paint.  Three things that are scheduled are my annual physical, my car gets serviced (oil change), and Seig goes to the Vet.
And, of course, repercussions and accusations are still flying into the walls of American morals after the Idiot Jerk's rally in North Carolina.  While his base sings and dances to his racist song, far more Americans saw him step into a deep pile of shit.  Does he, and the rest of these dung dancers, really care?  Absolutely not.  He has an adoring base and as long as they give him what he wants, praise and veneration, he will spew hatred.  For him, the only true American is one who bows before him.  His problem, and it's a serious one, is that large swaths of voters took a step back and said "what the fuck?"  The crowd at his rally was not all local.  Some drove from as far as Florida to spin and whirl in his hatred.  The response by a majority of Americans was to scratch their heads in disbelief and say "shut up!"  Prepare yourselves, he and his white party will continue to shit in their pants.  It's the only thing he really knows how to do.
On the bright side, Rep. Omar went home to praise from constituents.  The Idiot Jerk has no clue as to how much he helped with her re-election campaign.
And on the 'meh' side of life.  The trailer is out for "Cats."  Deep, deep groan.  I saw "Cats" on Broadway.  Many words have been written, not about how great this show is, but rather how it's a one song musical.  "Memory."  There, I've said it.  The rest of the music is... meh.  How meh?  The London cast version had different songs to sing than the New York version.  Meh.  I like shows that use dialogue to move the story forward.  "Cats" is a dance musical...  No dialogue.  In fact, this is a concept show, meaning there is no real story per se.  They do sing "Memory" though, a couple bars here, a couple bars there, and then the full song at the end.  Now, I don't mind watching people dance on the stage for short periods of time... though not for 2 + hours.  Meh.  I watched the trailer and I think the actors look less like cats and more like aliens with kitty-cat ears and tails.   Meh.  Don't believe?  Watch?

There's almost as much dancing here as at one of the Idiot Jerk's rallies... well, maybe not that much.

Rest Day

Today is Tuesday.  This is the first of 2 rest days in the Tour de France.  Those cyclists deserve it, they've ridden over 1300 miles in 10 days (give or take a mile).  They will relax and eat pasta and build up their strength for the stages in the Pyrenees which come next.  Eli and Max spent the first rest day up in Montmartre.

That evening found us having dinner with Walker Beresford and her fiancé Henri d’Eauville at Le Poisson Blanc, a basement café in Montmartre.  The long dead souls of Beat poets filled the air around us while people wearing berets smoked cigarettes in long, eloquent holders.  This was a shadowland of past and present, where shiny cell phones lay on tables next to wine glasses and ashtrays filled with unfiltered cigarette butts, where some conversed and others listened to the pale, smoothly flowing sounds of a jazz flautist.  A transfixed moment from a Romantic age now only chronicled in books and on film.

Here in the United States we have a Moral Degenerate, and Idiot Jerk in the White House who is proving he will stoop to any level in order to get himself re-elected.  He is justifying his racism by call those voices unifying against him as unpatriotic... un-American..  Four of those voices are women of color.  He is trying to rip a page from McCarthy's playbook.  For those who don't know, McCarthy was a Republican politician who saw Commie, Pinko Sympathizers every where.  He got Congress to hold hearings on Un-American behavior.  The Idiot Jerk wants to do the same thing, except his targets are minorities.  It's the 'old, white thing' you know?
One of the opinions I saw this morning on NBC News claimed he'd flipped the race card on Pelosi, tying the entire Democratic Party to the far Left.  That might be true if we already hadn't seen 2 years of the Idiot Jerk.  He is inept.  He has henchies like Stevie Miller telling him what he needs to do to hold on to his base.  This is what he is desperately trying to do, make sure they go to the polls in 2020 and cast their votes for racism.  If you weren't prepared for this, you should have been; he will pull every dirty trick in the book.  He is a desperate, angry man who represents an aging white America that steadfastly refuses to even try to understand evolution.  We are changing... and it's worldwide.  The dominant gene is brown, not white.
There will be no rest day in politics until the Idiot Jerk and his minions are voted out of office.  Vote Blue. 

The long list

Okay, so today is Wednesday and for a change it is my hump day.  With that being said, I have to ask "just what the hell is going on with the Jussie Smollet shit storm?"  From what I can tell, the dismissal of the charges against him and the expunging of them from his record seem revolve totally around 'technicalities.'  Something like: he wasn't going to get a fair trial because of all the information the Chicago police department released to the public.  Let me think about this.  Evidence was presented to a Grand Jury.  They decided he should be indicted because of this evidence.  Now the District Attorney's office & Jussie's attorney's have put their heads together and come to the conclusion a fair trial was no longer possible so they are... wiping the slate clean.  Excuse me, but this is the same defense the Idiot Jerk in the White House is going to use once he finally gets indicted.  So, will he get his slate wiped clean?  If I were a producer, I would not hire Jussie Smollet.  This kind of shit show is going to follow him for the rest of his life, from job, to job, to job.
So, let's move from that shit show to another shit show, the one revolving around the Idiot Jerk in the White House.  You see he wanted a conservative Attorney General who was going to wipe the slate clean when Mueller released his report.  The Republican Senate wanted this, too.  This is exactly what William Barr did with the Obstruction of Justice charges.  Feeling vindicated, the crazies on the right are going to attack everything they can in order to feed their base.  They are going to try and kick the shit out of every dead horse they see.  What they totally fail to realize is in the court of public opinion, nothing has changed.  The only people who like him are... Republicans, and who are Republicans?  Older white people, Crazy Christians, and white supremacists.
One thing they totally don't get is that they are a... minority group.  There are more Democrats than Republicans, more open minded white people than narrow minded crazies.  Keep in mind, however, that minority group will attempt to disenfranchise as many sane Americans as possible.  If your skin is a little too dark... you're on their list.  If you're a single mother... you're on their list.  If you prefer a same sex relationship... you're on their list.  If you believe freedom of religion is important... you're on their list.  If you believe a woman has the right to choose... you're on their list.  Believe me, their list is long.  Do they care about human beings?  Absolutely not.  As I've said before, it's time we Americans teach them a lesson.

Where Credit is Due

Well, today is Tuesday and it's my Saturday.  I have lots of things on my agenda today, whether they will all be accomplished is another story.
After calling... and calling, I finally got my Mom's final statement from Graysonview... and she has a credit balance.  That's right, a $580 credit is sitting on her account.  Way back, three years ago when she moved there I had to write a check, a deposit and one month in advance.  Will they actually cut me a check for that credit?  My friend Patty said "good luck with that."  Anyway, I'm going to call them today.
And the Idiot Jerk is going to be on television this evening in a desperate attempt to force his racist lies down Americas throat about those brown people trying to cross our border.  So, who out there is planning on watching the Idiot Jerk?  Can I see a show of hands?  Well, most of you may not, but there is an audience.  Yes, those middle-aged white people who love their Fox News, and those small-town white viewers who believe the 3 or 4 minorities are too many.  They will wrap his lies around themselves like a thick, downy comforter as they nod in support.  His deceits give their racist beliefs strength.  They will swallow his poisoned falsehood of almost 4000 suspected terrorists being stopped rather than accept the number provided by the US Customs and Border Protection that there were on 6 non - US citizens stopped.  Kirstjen Nielsen, quoted these numbers when talking to Congress... and still the Idiot Jerk is going to go on National Television and lie.  If you take the time to begin investigating this, you will find out that in truth they stopped almost twice as many possible terrorists coming across the Northern border... from Canada, then they did the Southern border.  I guess those at the Northern border either spoke better English or weren't brown enough to be considered a National Threat.
On a brighter note, my desk will be shipping sometime between now and 1/11.  One of the things I want to do today, besides finish the wall patch, is to move everything into position.

Confederate Atrocity

With the shit that went down in South Carolina I did have to note how the GOP 'wanna be' are reacting to it because I don't think many of the understand this is where they get to act "presidential."  So far Jeb Bush is the only one to have said that damn  confederate flag needs to come down.  The rest of them are being pretty namby pamby   about the whole thing.  Except for Rand Paul, that twit issued a "no comment" statement.  Oops, I don't see him in the White House.  The rest of the bunch are terrified of offending the "southern, white voters."  Speaking of those "southern, white voters," you hear a lot of them defending the confederate flag, claiming it's part of their heritage.  They claim they want to be proud of their ancestors who fought in the Civil War.  They're proud of the fact that their ancestors were pro-slavery and anti-black?

I started searching Southern Heritage and was surprised that in general most websites, except for one, had serious racist overtones.  The one that didn't pretty much smacked down the confederate flag.  Even more interesting are the comments, and there are quite a few.  Most find the flag to be an atrocity.  Those defending the flag?  Well, they're very good at rationalizing their racism.
