Everything shall be revealed

So, I bought myself some Baleaf running / jogging / workout shorts - green, one of my favorite colors.  They are supposed to "wick" away your sweat in a superior fashion.  Wick seems to be the word of the day when it comes to exercise clothing meaning it soaks up your sweat really fast... right.  The truth is everything I wear when doing cardio or going to PF soaks up my sweat fast, in fact, many's the time that I end up drenched.  Anyway, they fit well, the fabric is soft, not mesh, I don't like mesh, in fact there is only one issue, when I sweat, when these shorts are wicking away my sweat, everything is revealed.  Very minute details show up and are staged for the world to see.  These are not shorts for the shy and meek of heart.  These are shorts for those who like to stand tall and proud and wave and say "hi there, look at me."

And yesterday the Idiot in the White House declared that there was no place for transgendered people in the military and people were stunned.  Well, maybe not the Crazy Christians, their hate against everything they disapprove of has been simmering over for years.  This is just one more example of his trying to turn the United States into Little Russia.  If you haven't realized it yet, every time he does this he's spent at least... oh, 5 or 6 minutes asking himself if this is what his friend Putin would do.  He's a two-bit dictator wannabe who would scrap our Constitution in a heartbeat if he could.  This is the reason for all of his Executive Orders.  And while he hasn't started saying, "if you're not for us than your against us," yet, you can be it's coming.  Fortunately for us, he has no clue that he's speaking to a minority crowd or that the curtain is slowly being pulled back and that everyday more and more true Americans are getting a glimpse of the ugly face of the man who has shroud himself with lies for most of his life.

On a side note, I saw that Twitter shares are dropping because they're not attracting more people...  it would surprise me if the Idiot was having a bad effect on that company.  We'll find out, won't we, as everything will be revealed... aren't you glad I don't take selfies at the gym?

Ronald Reagan is killing the GOP

I have to admit that now and then I really do have to laugh at the GOP because  long time ago they had this candidate named Ronald Reagan who managed to get himself elected president.  They have put him on this Olympic sized pedestal because of his landslide re-election.  Even though his second term in office was quite flawed, they have transcended him into almost god-like status.  What they failed to realize was that by doing so they were initiating the slow death of the Republican Party.  They didn't understand that by being an older gentleman, and surviving an assassination attempt, he had become a grandfather figure to many Americans.  They voted for him in such numbers because they liked him, not necessarily his politics.  They still don't understand his politics had nothing to do with his massive re-election.  Of course, the GOP will never honestly evaluate his second election.  They aspire to greatness.  Like the aging beauty queen, they pack on pounds of makeup to gloss over their wrinkles in order to see beauty every time they look into the mirror of the past.  By doing so,  they are letting Ronald Reagan kill the Republican Party.

Grandfather figure and Party Killer

During his second term in office a lot of shit went down.  There was this little thing called the Iran-Contra Affair in which the United States sold weapons to it's enemies in order for those enemies to get them in the hands of the Contra Rebels in Central America.  Oops, not a good thing.  If I remember correctly, he was the first sitting president forced to testify before Congress because of it.  And the Republicans fell into a frenzy of hate which still rankles them to this day.   They believed his amazing re-election gave them free reign to to what ever they wanted.  They were terribly wrong.  Instead of trying to comprehend this, they went to the dark side.  Every president they have gotten elected since then has lived down to the standards they, themselves, have set in their hearts.  By failing to grasp the true nature of that election they have done themselves in, Ronald Reagan is truly killing the GOP.  Slowly, but surely, he is wiping them out.

I saw where Mitt Romney made some sour grapes comments alleging Obama's victory had more to do with gifts to young blacks and Latinos then anything else.  Doesn't this sound a bit racist, especially when coming from an older white guy?  I suppose he must be appealing to all of those racists whose whose election night tweets were a reflection of the ugly side of America.  Like so many Republicans he is in denial.  In their minds there is no logical way they could have lost this past election which means they need to blame somebody or something.  This is quite normal with Republicans.  There is never a moment when they look at themselves in the mirror and admit to screwing up.  No, they are like that aging woman who paints her face with pounds of make up in order to convince herself she is still a porcelain beauty.  Like that old woman, they will eventually die still unaware the porcelain has cracked.  While there is some apparent bipartisanship jockeying right now history tells us the Republicans will shit it away because in their minds they can not be wrong.  If  you see anything even remotely resembling change it will only be one faction attempting to throw another faction under the bus.

Has the GOP already lost?

And you can bet they are already plotting the next presidential election.  I suspect they will run a white man for president and a token black, Latin, or woman as vice president.  Why?  Because they've tried using that playbook before:  McCain and Palin, a party ticket made in hell.  They don't understand.  For some reason they feel all they need to do is run a token to get votes.  People aren't that foolish.  They're not going to fall for the bait and switch.  Unless the GOP begins roasting some of the far right chestnuts no one is going to believe they've moved even marginally to the center.  What I suspect you'll see is more blame.  They may need to lose three elections in a row before they stop hitting the snooze button on realities alarm clock.

Fat Americans

Surprise! by 2030 America will be the fattest country in the world.  Now, isn't that something to brag about!  Could it be because a lot of Americans are pigs?  Next time you're wondering the aisles of your local supermarket take a gander at what people are loading up on.  You'll see a lot of packaged, processed easy to cook food.  I was astonished to find out they make 40 different varieties of Hamburger Helper - just think, you can have Hamburger Helper every night for almost six weeks running without ever duplicating your menu.  The fact that Hamburger Helper is garbage food doesn't seem to matter, people seem to enjoy eating artificially flavored carbs and fatty protein.  And when he's finished chowing down what does your average American do?  Plop is ass down in the sweet spot of his Lazi-boy so he can watch his big screen TV.  There is a reason they're called Lazi-boys, they're made for lazy people.  What your average American needs to do is actually cook a real meal, put the dishes in the dishwasher and go for a walk, or a run, or a ride.  Fat chance.
