Well, if the forecasters are correct, we're going to be cooking records today, that is the temps do indeed climb to 84 (F). That's short sleeved shirt weather, and I'm going to wear one to work. We had rain last evening, steady and soaking.
The forsythia on the hill is in bloom. I didn't plant it, which means that some bird at a seed and pooped it there, and it grew. I didn't realize that I had planted so many bulbs, but I must have since they're springing up all all over the place. I don't even know what half of them are. One thing I am certain of is that none of my dahlias survived the winter. It was very cold and the ground froze days, if not weeks, at a time. I did save some seeds from the flowers, so rather than plant tubers, this year I'm just going to throw out some seeds and see if they take.
Howie has gotten very picky when it comes to eating. For a while, it seemed as if he preferred the more expensive kibbles, then he seemed to go for the less expensive brand, then yesterday afternoon he began snubbing both. I put out some canned food and, after giving it a sniff, walked away. What does he like to eat? Fruit. I loves blueberries and bananas. So, I'm going to have to get experimental and try different combinations.
My new heart rate monitor is out for delivery. Good.
And here's a pic of my daffodils. The ones out front are in full bloom.
Since Leon likes to dump his seed anywhere he finds a chance, let HIM repopulate the world.
ReplyDeleteThe problem with that is having to deal with his spawn.
DeleteDo you think Howie is going to become a vegetarian?
ReplyDeleteNah, he likes meat, he just seems to prefer human food to dog food.
DeleteIt’s spring when daffodils are in bloom.:)
ReplyDeleteAnd it’s winter on Wall Street !
Those cokeheads and jackals on Walk Street got more than they bargained for with Trump, now they can enjoy the misery he’s putting everyone else through. And their golden boy Musk is tarnished.

This is what happens when the only though traveling from one brain cell to the next is "tax break."
DeleteThere is no consumer spending without a healthy middle class. These economic geniuses seem to forget that we are interdependent.
ReplyDeleteWill Jay
They don't forget, they simply avoid rational thinking. I guess it hurts their brains.
DeleteFirst off, we are overpopulated now in my opinion, so he can kiss my ass. And I agree with your "a good stock market crash would do them all a bit of good, why, we might even see one or two jumping out of windows." I almost hope the market would crash.
ReplyDeleteYour bulbs. I found that squirrels also dig up and replant bulbs to eat if they have too. It could be they "divided" some of your bulbs and replanted them. I too have bulbs coming up where I know I didn't plant them. Gardening assistants?
The squirrel bit is possible since they dig holes all over my lawn.
