Well, we've got bright and sunny on the menu for the next few days. Moderate temps will abound. Tomorrow we should actually top off our afternoon high in the low 70s (F). So far, we are enjoying a rather nice autumn here in Central PA. In fact, we're not supposed to get any precipitation until Halloween evening. That rain should be on and off until the morning of November 3.
I worked yesterday. Business was slow. All of our Halloween decor has been reduced to 50% off, so most of that has flown out of the door. Our display was not nearly as large as it was last year. The same thing goes with our Christmas display. Once the Halloween display is gone, our Christmas gift center will be set up... 2 months before Christmas. We're a month away from Black Friday, and I'll be interested in seeing how that goes. The economy is not doing that well. Prices are still going up. So, when you're out buying your Christmas presents, if you're looking for that special drill, or screw driver, buy from your local Mom & Pop hardware store. The big retailers will survive; remember, Lowes, Home Depot, and Menards all got a really nice tax break.
For those who missed it, Obama was speaking in Cleveland and Detroit yesterday. He shredded our sitting president and his ostentatious need for gold and gold leaf in a memorable way. So, behold, I give you the White House Cheesecake Factory.
