I've also been told I have little tact, so if this offends you simply ride on.

Dishonesty, Profiteering, and Bribery

Hello world, from Central PA.  Yesterday was filled with sunshine, the temps were in the mid 60s (F), and overall it was a beautiful day.  Today is going to be a repeat.  In fact, we're in a bit of a holding pattern as far as the weather goes.  The long  range forecast is predicting a smattering of showers over the next 2 weeks as well.  This is nice fall weather.  Here's hoping this weather continues into the winter, my heating bill could use a break.

And my heat is on.  I have the house temp set at 68 (F).  Right now, because the outside temp is in the low 50s (F), my furnace is running.  That's fine.  Whenever I hear the blower kick on, I think about how the tech from Bowman told me that I had a hole in my heat exchanger.  He saw an older man who he thought was going to be an easy mark.  The idea of replacing my heating system did cross my mind, however, I did what everybody needs to do, I got 3 estimates and all 3 wanted to sell me a new furnace.  Then I called the Carrier rep who told me there was nothing wrong with the heat exchanger.  In fact, I learned that I have a 40 year warranty on my heat exchanger, a warranty that will expire when I'm 99.

Yesterday was sort of a meh day.  I made chicken salad for dinner, did some laundry, some cleaning, and played with Howie... a lot.  His pink pig has been getting a real workout in over the past few days.  Most of his toys have short life spans, this one was worth the money it cost, $9.95.  It's holding up so well, I bought a yellow chicken to replace it once it finally goes to piggy heaven.

And I suspect that in their black hearts, Republicans might be truly frightened of the up coming midterms.  Orangie had a rally at Fort Myers, Florida yesterday and hundreds showed up.

Ken Paxton, from Texas, has an even bigger problem.  When he holds a rally tens show up.

And it's not just the high price of gas and food that's pissing people off.  While the high cost of living is very close to the top complaint by most Americans, it's not the number one issue.  That's Corruption.  Americans are realizing that there is not one solitary person in Orangie's administration who isn't on the take.  And it's not just his administration, it seems to be Republicans in general.  The party of selfishness and greed has hit the pinnacle of dishonesty, profiteering, and bribery (to name a few).  What else could expect from the party of "what's in it for me?"  A group of people so bent on accruing as much wealth as possible by whatever means necessary.  Except now those Republicans who find themselves far less fortunate are asking WTF!  They're realizing that while those in charge are packing away the buckos, they, themselves, are being told to "just deal  with it."  They're beginning to understand that the only purpose of their votes was to put the grifters in charge, and they're angry.  This is a good thing.
