Reality Bite

Our afternoon high might hit 70(F) today.  That's not bad being that we're almost 2/3 of the way through October. The long the moderate temps hang around, the happier I am with my heating bill.  We have been known to have some very warm winters here in Central PA, where the daily high sits in the mid 40s (F).  During those years we barely get any snow, and while I like the white fluffy stuff, the free cardio I get from shoveling the stuff is not essential to my well being.

Retail was slow yesterday in that flooring sales were not going through the roof.  After 4:30, I was once again an aisle associate masquerading as a flooring specialist.  I had numerous questions from several customers, but none were interested in diving into the installation pool.  They may return.  The average person puts several months of thought into investing in an installation.  This doesn't mean that we don't get customers who are "spur of the  moment, we tend to have problems with them.  Buyers Remorse.  I dealt with one yesterday, a woman who was not satisfied with the installation dates offered by our installers.  We guarantee your flooring will be installed within 45 days or less, however not one single day worked for her.  She also repeated several times that she can go with someone else and have carpeting installed sooner.   This customer changed her mind and was looking for a way to cancel her install and get a refund... she mentioned that several times as well.  We're going to end up eating the cost of that carpet.

And what about Adam Hamilton from Kansas?  He's an ordained elder with the United Methodist Church and he's running for Senator.  Today Orangie's going to take his Satanic presence to Wichita to campaign against him.

I find this very amusing.  For decades Republicans claimed to be the anointed party of Family Values.  It was extremely rare for any Republican to say anything without repeating those those 2 words.  Family Values.  That was before they realized that their core values were more laser focused on selfishness and greed.  Thanks to Citizens United Republicans in Congress discovered that tax breaks for the rich and infamous bought them bigger campaign donations.  Those donations were essential for staying in power, so they damned values all to hell.  They found out that corruption was far more lucrative for them then providing Americans with a decent living wage. They trashed their ability to be compassionate and Democrats are now picking up that helm.

Hopefully there will be attendees at Orangie's small rally who will heckle him.  There were six hecklers at his rally yesterday.  He hates this.  You can see the glint of hatred in his beady, little eyes.  He finds this humiliating, which makes this is a good thing.  And he's not the only one getting heckled.  This bitter sassing is happening to so many of them, and it's pissing them off.  The simply cannot deal with the fact that Americans hare rejecting them en masse.  Reality is biting them in the ass big time.  They truly hate having to harvest the crops that they've sown.
