Bluntness

I've also been told I have little tact, so if this offends you simply ride on.

Midterms

We have another beautiful day in store for those of us who live in Central Pa.  I have to say, I just love a good sunny day in the fall.  Leaves are beginning to turn on the trees around my house.  Once they begin falling, I'll have to begin mulching.  While I occasionally do rack my leaves, most of the time I mulch them, putting the nutrients back into the ground from which they came.

I did work yesterday, spending most of my time making our flooring aisles look pretty for the big walk today.  I've met this VP twice before, on both of those occasions he had hair, now he's bald.  He will be nice, talking to a few associates as he walks up and down a few of our aisles.  If any sticky questions are asked, they will come from his entourage of between 30 and 40 store managers who will participate just so they can be graced by his presence.  I've told a number of those associates that one of the best things that's going to happen today is that all sorts of good snacky food will be brought in to impress all those store managers.

My neighbor had a serious meltdown last evening while they were taking out the trash.  They have no back porch light.  I had one put in when I bought my house 33 years ago, it has a motion sensor and lights up when I open the back door.  They use a flashlight when it's dark.  Well, something happened while he was opening up the top of their large garbage can and he began shrieking obscenities.  He then went into the house and both of the screamed at each other for about 5 minutes.  They hate the house.  They hate the neighborhood.  They're very unhappy because they bought the place because it was staged to look like a million bucks.  They never realized that buying a house means expenses for upkeep... and putting in a back porch light so you don't fall down the steps in the dark.

While I was outback this morning, I saw another large, white rose was blooming, so I took a picture.

We have 7 days until the midterm elections.  My nephew was complaining about all of the texts, and fliers, and phone calls he and his wife have been getting.  For some reason I have not been inundated.  I've been getting maybe... 3 texts a week, and so far only 2 fliers in the mail.  I did get a survey request from You.gov which I filled out.  I do get a lot of emails, but I'm fast on the delete button.  I use Outlook to access my Gmail account and that eliminates most of the spam the filters don't catch.  So, maybe I'm just blessed that way.

Remember, polls are shite, mostly because voters lie.  We have secret balloting in this country, so they will tell you anything except the truth.  It's not until the votes are counted that the truth will be known.

I saw that down in Brazil, Bolsonaro conceded, blaming this administration for not helping enough.  But I've heard the real reason he lost is because Ukraine has been taking out so many bot farms in Russia.  That seems to make more sense to me.

I've also heard that the bottom is falling out of the Republican party.  Everybody needs to vote blue on Tuesday to ensure it goes through the garbage disposal before it heads to the sewer line.

And finally, I understand Obama's line about the cheesecake factory truly pissed off Orangie.  This is because Orangie equates that comment with being called white trash.  Truthfully, there's no denying the obvious.
