Bluntness

I've also been told I have little tact, so if this offends you simply ride on.

Blasphemy

Temps are warming up here in Central PA quite a bit.  By Thursday, we should be in the lower 90s (F).  I'm sorry, but we're still in April.  That's way too hot for this time of the year.  We will cool off a bit, with one forecasted day of temps in the mid 50s (F), but most days our afternoon highs will be in the upper 60s (F) to mid 70s (F).  I'm betting we start selling window A/C units like they're going out of style.

I did work yesterday.  Flooring was slow.  Our garden department was kicking.  I got my laps.  Our garden associates were sweating their little patooties off. I know this for a fact because on my trek through the store I saw a patootie lying on the floor in Aisle 55, next the the garden fertilizer, and it was definitely wearing what was left of an orange apron.  Here's a word to the wise, if you're shopping for curb appeal, looking for garden supplies, or feel the urge to peruse the petunias, do it on a weekday.  While there are those who still believe weekends were made for Michelob, there are many more who don't understand that visiting a home improvement garden center on a weekend means long lines and short tempers.

On the bright side, I did manage to sell 2 install measures.

Otherwise yesterday was same old, same old, and might have been about as quiet a day as we get with this administration, and then this happened.  True, it is AI, but it gives you a good idea of what's going on in Orangie's head.

He posted this after attacking Pope Leo for being weak.  The truth is that Orangie knows that Pope Leo is a very popular religious leader, and Orangie, in his demented state, needs his cult to see him as a very popular religious leader.  Or maybe he felt he needed to do something to change the subject of Vik Orban's landslide loss to some other subject, something more authoritarian, something more blasphemous.  If that was his intention, he somewhat succeeded, at least in America.  People keep asking how can he be even more outrageous, well, they simply need to stop asking because he will undoubtedly find away.

And Vik Orban did lose badly in Hungary.  Tisza party needed a super majority of seats to take total control and then ended up with 138.  Orbie Baby lost so badly he had no choice but to concede.  Keep in mind Orbie still has allies in the government who will try to stall and hinder Hungary from moving to full Democracy.  But his loss was a sucker punch to Putin.  I'm betting Vlad is more than a little miffed.  His war with the Ukraine is now in it's 5th year and his budso Vik just got the shit kicked out of him in a general election.

Damned

And so, a new week begins.  The sun was shining brightly through my front windows at 0600 this morning, but not so much anymore.  The forecast for today is partially cloudy with a high in the mid 80s (F).  I can deal with that, because that means the sun will occasionally pop out.  Tomorrow?  I'm off and it's, as should be expected by now, supposed to be overcast for much of the day.

I did work yesterday.  I got a measure.  Oh, and I got some good news.  My supervisor received a promotion and will be moving to the night shift.  He is one of those incompetents who believes that management means sitting back on his ass, telling you to do tasks he never learned because he thinks they're beneath him.  I once had to cut a large section of rolled carpet, a 2 person job, and asked him for help and, as you might expect, he said, "I don't know how to cut carpet."  So, he stood and watched as I did it myself.  The night manager he's working for is going to chew him up and spit him out in broken little pieces.  This is Karma.

All of the audio files for The Body on the Lawn have been submitted to Audible.  One of my editors was surprised by how much work I had to put in to getting them ready, and I told her "but I learned so much!"  Sometimes when people hit a certain age, they become terrified of learning.  Not me. Bring it on!

And, since I was speaking of Karma!  Or, perhaps God was responsible, or perhaps they're one in the same, anyway, yesterday this happened.

A Trust in Jesus bus, heavily placarded with pro Trump signs, crashed into a light poll.  That, in itself, would be justice enough, however this crash was different.  You see, the bus was parked, no one was in it, no one was driving it, the damned thing (and it is quite possibly damned) started moving on its own,  cruising down a hill and into the poll.  From the damage done, it must have been moving pretty damn fast.  So, was it Karma, or a sign from God?

False Republicans

Thursday - and it's cold outside... 18 (F) and holding.  If the forecast is correct, we're not supposed to get above freezing.  I'm comfy here in my warm house, thanks to my two thermal heating units who cozy up to me whenever I lie down.
Has anybody else had trouble accessing Bob's blog?  It never loads for me and I get the message "page unresponsive."
I have been tracking the progress of my TV and was pleased to see it had arrived in Harrisburg at 0337.  Why the arrival date was changed to 12/20 is beyond me.  Perhaps a little Grinch was at the keyboard out in Phoenix, from whence it shipped.
Of course, the House of Representatives voted on the Articles of Impeachment.  As expected, voting went down party lines.  I saw where Tulsi Gabbard voted present, rather than take a stand.  She's the Democratic candidate who claims she's not being groomed by the Russkies to run as an Independent.  There's something wrong about her.
I also saw where Moscow Mitch and his chorus of goosestepping henchies pushed through another 13 ideologically corrupt conservative judges.  Whether you know it or not.  That is an act of desperation.  He knows his party is going to be removed and is trying to spawn as much crazy corruption before that day happens.  There are legal ways to remove those judges.
An interesting side note:  I can remember being told by Evangelical Christians that they had no problem with the Idiot Jerk being removed and replaced by Mike Pence.  Now, however, they're singing a different tune.  For a supposedly religious group, this shows how easily they have been corrupted by the power the Idiot Jerk bestows upon them.  In fact, yesterday some moron compared the vote on impeachment to the trial of Jesus.  Can we talk about false gods?  How about false prophets?
And finally, to add a bit of levity, I thought I'd share a pic of one of the toys the dogs are getting for Christmas this year.  It's a T-Rex!

And let me tell you, they knew he was out of the box for a photo shoot.  In 2 seconds flat they had that little guy surrounded.  Luckily for him, I'm taller then they, so quickly back into the box he went, safe and sound until Christmas morning.
