Blame it on Biden

Our temps climbed into the mid 40s (F) yesterday.  The warming trend will continue for another day, with temps tomorrow predicted to crack open the middle 50s (F).  55 (F) is the projected high.  I have not problem with that.  Not having to pay for heating my house is nice.  Temps will drop down on Saturday, but then they begin to rebound on Sunday.

The new queen sized sheets I bought at BJs are on the bed and they're a bit baggy, but they'll do.  

Yesterday was my first full workout with the new piece of equipment.  Honestly, I should have done a trial run.  While most of the exercises went well, I'm too big for two of them to be done they way that they should be done, so I had to make some adjustments.  I need to sit facing the back of the machine for the lat pulldown, and for the leg raise, I need to be sitting on a small cushion for the leg raise.  There are always ways to make it work, which is why I now know I should have played around with different exercises before my first workout.

Otherwise, yesterday was fairly normal.  

So, my work schedule is out for the first week in January and I'm down to 13 and a half hours.  I'll probably wait and see how this paycheck looks before deciding on whether or not to start using up my vacation time in bits and pieces.  Hours always get cut this time of year, but because of my tenure I'm usually the last to get cut, so this is not looking good for the other part-timers.

Rather than pay any attention to Orangie's speech last night, I had a couple of glasses of wine and watched Alex Strangelove on Netflix.  It's cute.

And Orangie did speak to the nation last night... well, most comments I've seen have said that he yelled at America.  Many think that he was hopped up on Adderall. As is always the case, he lied.  He blamed Biden for the economy.  He said affordability was a hoax.  He blamed Biden.  He said that eggs had dropped 83% in price.  He blamed Biden.

So, why does Orangie hate Biden so much?  This is an easy one.  Biden won the election in 2020 and proved to the world that Orangie is a loser.  Orangie tried to stage a coup and failed.  So, he also a failure, and in his screwed up mind, Biden's to blame for all of that.  That was the hugest blow his ego has ever had to deal with, and his ego lost it.  

Inflation numbers are out this morning and to quote Justin Wolfers, "they're unexpectedly good."  Would Orangie fudge those numbers?  You can bet your bippy he would.  Inflation did increase, just not as much as economists had been expecting.  One thing I know to be certain, we are raising our prices and this administration will never report that... and if they do, don't worry, it will be Biden's fault.

The Conservative Aberration

 The temp was 49 (F) when I got up this morning.  Right now my thermostat is registering the temp inside the house at 68 (F).  This means I'm wearing sweatpants and a sweat shirt.  It's still a little too early to turn on the heat, but I figure that day is fast approaching.  As long as the daytime highs are in the mid to upper 70s (F) that will be fine.  Once it gets too chilly willy the heat will be turned on.

So, while much was accomplished on Tuesday, yesterday turned out to be a not-so-productive Wednesday.  Only one load of laundry.  I did get over 1000 words written.  That was nice.  Research for this book has not only led me into the world of feng shui, but also caused me to make a small foray into contracts within the music industry.  It seems as though everyone wants as much credit as they can legally get because that translates into royalty payments.  Take the lawsuit regarding the song Every Breath You Take by The Police.  Both Stewart Copeland and Andy Summers feel they are owed money for their contributions to that famous song and so they are taking Sting to court.  If you want a good chuckle at pettiness, take a look at this lawsuit.

And the orange retailer I work for has decided that I'm going to start working Thursday afternoons, at least for the next few weeks.  This meant changing my workout schedule since normally I get my cardio by riding my bike on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.  So now we're changing that up and I'm doing my cardio on Tuesdays and Fridays, with a break on Thursday and strength on Saturday morning.

So the laundry I did yesterday was bed sheets.  Since Howie sleeps on the bed, I have it covered with his "special" sheet.  Yesterday it fell out of the dryer and he thought we'd have a nice game of chase and grab.

And so the shut down continues into day 2.  So, how is it going for the Republicans?  Not good.  How do I know this?  The Washington Post, which is owned by Orangie's crony Jeff Bezos, lead headline was "Most Americans Blame Republicans."  The Washington Post as been at the forefront of sane washing everything Orangie does, so this headline is horrible for the GOP; no one is being kind to them.

Orangie is meeting with Russel Vought, the architect of Project 2025 to discuss what Democratic jobs to cut.  This, in itself, show just how out of touch Conservatives are with the American people.  They are simply refusing to read the room.  The truth is that Conservatives don't care.  They are a group of people who only love power and control.  Taking that away from them is the only thing they will understand.  Keep in mind, understanding for them does not include learning a lesson, in fact, if anything punishment for their atrocities only makes them more determined.  This means normal humans will have to deal with this conservative aberration every few generations in order to keep them in check.

 

The Punishment of Tariffs

 Temps here in Central PA took a little crash dive last night dropping to 18 (F).  That chilly willy.  Starting tomorrow, they will begin warming up.  By Wednesday forecasters are predicting we'll be in the mid 60s (F), if only for a day.  Let's be honest here, Spring has got to start sometime, and I'd prefer it sooner rather than later.

I got an upper body workout in yesterday before going to work.  It felt good.  Not too much will be done today as I'm heading down to York for lunch with my friend Betsy.  That doesn't mean I won't get a ride or free weights in when I get home, just that it's not very likely.  

When I got to work yesterday, I was told I was late and, indeed, I was.  The two afternoons I work during the week my start time is 2 PM.  Saturdays it's 1 PM.  Even though I've had this Saturday schedule for over 3 years, all of sudden it doesn't feel natural, so when immediately after I punched in, I change my availability for Saturdays.  Now I will start at 2 PM, like the other two afternoons I work.  I suppose I'm entering the age of uniformity.

The store, itself, was only semi-busy.  Without giving any proprietary information away, I can tell you that we are not going to make plan this week.  It is my understand that this is district wide situation.  I can also tell you that we have not hit our budgeted sales once since the Orange Anus was elected.  Our President's Day appliance sale has always brought in great sales figures and those few days stand out, this year they flatlined.  On a graph, last year's sales were a mountain and this year's sales are a desert plain.

And then there are the protests.  I find them rather pleasing.  So far, except for the outside the Tesla showroom in NYC yesterday, they've been peaceful.  And the townhalls, too.  Republicans are still holding them, but they are becoming more and more contentious.  The GOP is not used to their own party members objecting.  They don't seem to understand that they owe these people their jobs.

As I was looking over headlines this morning, I saw in Reuters that the Orange Anus is modifying one of the tariffs in regard to lumber.  Even though it is American lumber that is being exported to Canada and Mexico, it is going to be taxed when that wood is imported back into the United States as furniture.  The minute I saw that I realized that these tariffs are how Orangie is meting out punishment to those countries who disagree with him.  He is going to make them pay.  The fact that this will financially hurt Americans is not even part of the equation.  

Abandoned By God

 Third day with the new windows and they are so clear, the rain clouds look so crisp and clean, and they're cool to the touch.  You'd never believe the outside temp is 73 (F).  Sadly, I have to work today, so I'll not be able to wile away the hours watching the occasional, torrential downpours from the thunderstorms that will most likely skirt my neighborhood.  

Speaking of work, yesterday I had a big sale and my 3rd measure of the week, so now I'm golden for at least one shift.  And I've also been thinking about how I want to set my scheduling for when I get back from Greece.  It will be changing.  During Covid I worked a 5 hour shift 5 days a week. and that worked out well for me.  And, since there's going to be a puppy shortly after I return, I don't want to spend too much time away from the house, so I'm thinking of going back to 5 hour shifts from 2 - 7 for 4 days a week.  That would give me 20 hours.  No more 8 hour shifts.

And I woke up to something strange.  Something named Betty Elizabeth Hasan had liked over 30 of my pictures on Facebook.  It also left a comment saying it wanted to get to know me and that chatting with messenger was best.  Right (that's me being sarcastic).  So, I filed a spam complaint against Betty and had blocked access to my page.  I don't think it was a bot, because the comment had typos.  Human or not, it should never contact me again.

And in a little over 3 weeks:

I guess a lot of you may have seen that the Spawn of Satan, Donald Trump has agreed with Fox Entertainment that he'd debate Kamala Harris in an arena filled with cultists and moderated by two loyal members of the Fox Entertainment team.  The moldy stench of desperation is heavy with this one.  Firstly, people need to stop treating Fox as if it were a news network, it isn't.  They admitted they were an entertainment channel during the Dominion trial, the one they lost, the one that cost the $787 million.

Secondly, the Orange Anus is falling behind in the polls, even the bad ones, and they're all bad, and this is a miserable attempt to make Harris look bad.  How stupid.  His cultists will hang with him on this, but Independent voters are not stupid, they are seeing right through his badly played rouse.  

Finally, I think of all of those forlorn Christians, the ones who believe the God they worship is only powerful enough to flip the electoral college, are having to deal with the fact that He has evidently abandoned them for a black woman.  I've told so many people for quite some time now that Trump isn't here to give them what they want, he's here to destroy them, and that includes Evangelical Christianity.  For them, this will be worse than being abandoned by God.

Constructive Criticism

 The rain we were supposed to be getting yesterday passed us by, moving up the coast farther to our east.  We has spotting showers for a while.  The temps cooled down a bit, but keep in mind that this is summer and they will most certainly rebound later in the afternoon.  I'm fine with that.  So far it seems as though we had a warm winter and a summer filled with medium grade temps.  I don't mind that; my central A/C doesn't need to run which saves me money on my electric bill.

I had a goal of 2 measures last week, I got 4.  Whoo! Hoo!

My schedule's odd this week.  Rather than work Monday, I'm working Thursday... don't ask me why.  It's an odd thing.  Instead of having 4 sequential days off, I'm 3 off, 1 on, and then 2 off.  After that my schedule goes back to what it was for a week, and then there is a shift again because I requested a Sunday off to go down to York.

Since the fish / aquarium center has been updated at PetSmart, I'll probably use that rather than drive down to Lancaster.  They even have plants now.

And I've added another video to my YouTube channel.  It got a couple hardy-har-hars when I posted it to Facebook.

And Ronnie D's is shaking up his campaign staffing, possibly because of the video in which one of his staffers admitted to being stoned.  Or, it could also be that his vision of Woke Hell is simply not catching fire.  Ronnie suffers from the same problem almost every other Republican politician suffers from, the inability to understand that his decisions run against the grain of most Americans.  The Orange Anus used the word Woke and Ronnie, believing it to be the true yellow brick road to the presidency instantly became the anti-woke overachiever.  Because of this he damns constructive criticism; that would me he's wrong.  He doesn't know that surrounding yourself only with people who think like you will spoil you into believing your are always correct.  Believe me, Ronnie has spoiled himself into believing he is the answer to every Cracker Jack Republicans Conservative wet dream.

Here come the roses

 And Wednesday has arrived.  Ours will be cool and breezy with the high climbing to the low temp of around 69 (F).  That's not bad, mind you, as we are less than a month into spring.  Long range forecasts have our temperatures hovering in the mid to upper 70s (F).  That would be nice, however I doubt if it's a realistic forecast.  Weather patterns change to easily, sometimes on a whim of Mother Nature.  

My new schedule has me continuing in an old pattern, working Saturday, Sunday, and Monday and then having the rest of the week off.  That's fine with me.  I don't mind having those 4 days in a row to do whatever I want.  I wouldn't mind of it stayed this way for the rest of my tenure at the big, orange retailer.

I have yet to hear from Companions of Peace about picking up Biggie's ashes, so I will give them a call later this morning.  

There are a few peaches in my peach tree; I wasn't expecting many this year since I cut it back so hard.  there are many shoots coming up around the base one of which will form the new trunk.

And my roses are really beginning to come into their own.

Yesterday was election day.  Republicans did not fare too well.  Jacksonville, Florida, in a major upset, now has a Democratic mayor.   In fact, Ronnie D's endorsements didn't do well in the state he wants to turn fascist.  

In Pennsylvania, Democrats held the House of Representatives.  This is frustrating the Hell out of the Republicans; their message is not getting through to the masses.  It is only in rural Pennsylvania where they have a strong foothold.  That will never change.

Grab Your Popcorn

 The forecast for today is sunny, though cool.  We're in for another day in which the temps might crest around 50 (F).  Tomorrow it supposed to be warmer, and on Tuesday, my day off, we're supposed to hit 65 (F).  That will be good.  I do need to get outside and start with the yard work.

My schedule for the next week is odd.  They have me starting early on Thursday and late on Saturday and Sunday.  I would rather have my mornings free and work a little later in the evenings, at least during the spring, summer, and fall.  Winter, when it gets dark early?  I could probably give up work entirely.

This afternoon, I'll be dropping off the old ceiling fan from the workout room as well as the little A/C unit I bought last year at a friend's house.  Having less stuff is good.  Not that I'm planning on turning into a Spartan, but as I look around I can't help but think about all of the money I've spent on things that really weren't necessary.  Take that Instant Pot I bought.  I've used it 3 times... maybe 4.  Not a sound investment.  I'll have to see if my nephew and his wife might want it.

And I don't know about you, but I'm enjoying all the MAGA blustering that's streaming across the airwaves.  These people are blowhards from Hell.  I can't even imagine what kind of insane thoughts are going through their heads.  Their threats of him winning in 2024 by a landslide are absurd.  They don't understand that the MAGA mind is out of kilter with the rest of America.  One loopy loser said that the sex tapes on Hunter Biden's laptop are worse than anything Trump did.  That's right, he said sex tapes.  The lying will only increase as their desperation grows.  Sit back and grab your popcorn.

Is Orange the new Stupid?

So, yesterday I went to work, punched in, sat down and talked to the Store Manager about gaming, worked my way back to flooring desk where one of my fellow associates looked at me and said "you're not supposed to be here today."  And, of course, he was right.  Evidently, when I stuck my latest schedule on the frig, I somehow managed to throw out the wrong week and I was working last week again.  Shit.  That hasn't happened in oh, I'd say about 8 years.
Suddenly I had a whole day to myself and... I did chores around the house.  That and climb on board my eliptical for 35 minutes.  In case you want to see what my workout looked like, you can see it here:  Yesterday's cardio.
They were calling for bad thunderstorms last evening and they... failed to materialize.  We had some rain over night, but that's about it.
Today I do work.  In fact, today is the first of a 5 day stretch.
I did take the dogs to the park this morning.  They love it.  Lily is always pulling, and Big Seig?  He just ambles along beside me.  The only issue I have, and it isn't a big one, is that he hates getting into the back of the car so I need to pick him up... that's right, I pick up a 111 pound dog and put him in the back.  He has no problem jumping out when we get to the park, and when we get home, but getting in... well, that's another story.
I see the Idiot's giving interviews, all of which make him sound the the leading contender for Buffoon Ignoramicus of the United States.  With every turd that slips from his lips he makes it more and more obvious just how stupid he truly is in regards to everything... except himself.  He loves to talk about himself, or I should say Lie about Himself.
I mean, the Andrew Jackson thing was hysterical.  He is the 'everyman' of bragadocia.  To call him stupid would be too nice.  Really.

And I will admit that yesterday, sitting at the Specialty Desk, for about, oh, 2 or 3 seconds I did feel a little Orange, but that passed.  There is a difference between throwing out the wrong schedule and saying Steve Bannon is not part of the Alt-Left (yeah, the Idiot said that).
